Conducted twice a year (NDA 1 & NDA 2)
Eligibility: 12th pass or appearing students
Selection Process:
- Written Examination
- SSB Interview
- Medical Test
Detailed NDA Exam Pattern
- Written Examination (900 Marks)
Paper 1: Mathematics
- Total Marks: 300
- Duration: 2.5 Hours
- Total Questions: 120
- Covers Class 11th & 12th level Maths
- Negative Marking Applicable
Paper 2: General Ability Test (GAT)
- Total Marks: 600
- Duration: 2.5 Hours
- Total Questions: 150
Sections in GAT:
- English (200 Marks) – Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension
- General Knowledge (400 Marks) – Science + Humanities + Current Affairs
- SSB Interview (900 Marks)
Candidates who clear the written exam are called for the SSB Interview, which is conducted over 5 days:
- Day 1: Screening Test (OIR + PPDT)
- Day 2–4: Psychological Tests & GTO Tasks
- Day 5: Personal Interview & Conference
Final merit is based on Written + SSB Marks
